Tom Hardy develops sci-fi comic ARCBOUND with BATMAN writer Scott Snyder

Tom Hardy dives into the world of comics with a new futuristic sci-fi series titled Arclimited. He is developing the comic with the writer Scott Snyderknown for his work on Batman AND Justice League. While Snyder writes the comic, Hardy is credited as a creative collaborator and focuses on developing the character for a wider audience. Arclimited universe.

The 12-issue series is set in a future where Earth is a barren wasteland. “The formidable corporatocracy, Zynitec, harnesses Kronium’s unrivaled energy to assert its dominance among the stars. The Arcbound series chronicles the journey of Kai, a resolute Mediator Captain, tasked with maintaining Zynitec’s lifeline to Kronium. However, as he grapples with the morality of his role, revelations about Zynitec’s dubious past force him into a poignant dilemma: remain loyal to the empire or face the forces that have transformed him into an instrument of oppression.”

THE Arclimited the creative team also includes a veteran scribe Franco Tieriknown for Glutton AND Dead Pooland artist Ryan Smallmannthat he worked on Fortnite and some Marvel titles.

Snyder said in a statement: “Arcbound stands out not only for its original concept and narrative, but also for the team that is bringing it to life. Frank is one of the best storytellers I know. His imaginative talent is astonishing, but he is also an incredible structuralist. Ryan’s style is so dynamic, so full of energy and passion. And Tom has been responsible for bringing some of my favorite characters to life on screen – he’s a true creative force. So to have the chance to work with all three of them to build a world and a story of this magnitude… it’s extremely exciting. Because Arcbound isn’t just a comic; it is a narrative expression that reflects our times.”

Hardy said: “I’ve always been drawn to the creative process in all aspects of storytelling – and with comics I find it’s a fascinating playground to explore. A place where, as long as you have a great creative team and the ability to illustrate, write and discuss, you can build epic worlds together. Worlds that you have the distinct freedom to shape, modify, redefine, dismantle and rebuild without the constraints of limited budgets and resources. The canvas is limitless, a vast expanse to explore the human condition, depth of character and boundless realms, all limited only by our collective imagination. It’s an honor to have the opportunity to work alongside industry legends like Scott, Frank, and Ryan to help bring the Arcbound universe to life. They have created an epic world that is as exciting to explore for those who love comics as it is for those who create them.”

Tieri in a statement: “It’s exciting to have the opportunity to collaborate with Scott, Ryan and Tom in building this vast universe from the ground up, embedding within it an epic tale that is as entertaining as it is inspiring. Arcbound isn’t just a great space opera; we are developing a narrative that challenges, questions and introspects into the very core of our existence, forcing readers to reflect on the meaning of humanity, the prices we pay as a society and, ultimately, to evaluate: is it really worth it?”

It is explained that the first 12 issues are an inaugural season for the story. CEO of Arcbound Studios Nick Rosa said: “The debut of Arcbound is a proud moment for all of us. Bringing this brilliant team together and working alongside friends has been nothing short of transformative. Their combined creativity brought to life a story that resonates deeply, and I’m excited to share our collaborative magic with the world.”

Hardy and the creative team will be attending New York Comic Con on Saturday from 4:45pm to 5:30pm at the Arcbound booth (#3063). Then some members of the creative team, excluding Hardy, will host a panel on Saturday from 3 to 4 p.m. in room no. 409.
