Entertainment with dynamite and Gargoyle Creator Greg Weismann are currently developing new stories and spin-offs for Disney’s hit animated series Gargoyle. The search for the Gargoyles is a new comic series created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the animated series.

Weisman is writing a new spin-off centered on Demona and the art will be created by Pasquale Qualano. The story for The search for the Gargoyles specifically it will reproduce the events of Gargoyles #7.

Readers saw Demona’s return in Gargoyle #7, “highly anticipated as one of the most beloved characters, especially for his complicated past, which Gargoyle: Dark Ages also delves deeper. Now back on the scene, she has a maniacal mission in mind. If she can gain possession of the legendary “New Keys of Power”, a series of ancient magical artifacts, she will be granted unimaginable and horrific powers.”

This evil quest of his will be opposed by his former partner in power and love, Goliath, “the powerful leader of the Manhattan clan. Of course, Goliath will have the backing and support of the clan; beloved warriors of the night like Hudson, Brooklyn, Lexington, Broadway and he and Demona’s daughter Angela. Their quest will be challenging, as Demona somehow manages to always stay one step ahead of them. For this incredible chapter of the tapestry, will the Gargoyles be able to stop Demona’s crusade?”

Weisman shared in a statement, “We all know Demona has it out for the human race, so the big question isn’t, ‘Why does she want the Three New Keys of Power?’ but ‘How will he use them to destroy his supposed enemies, namely humanity?'”

Cover artists for the series include Clayton Crain, Jae Lee and colorist partner June ChungAND Drew Moss. Check out those two covers below.

The search for the Gargoyles #1 will be available for pre-order in November and will be released in January. It will also be available for purchase by individual customers through digital platforms courtesy of Comixology, Kindle, iBooks, Google Play, Dynamite Digital, ComicsPlus and others.
