A trailer has been released for the latest version of the classic tale, Doctor Jekillhero Eddie Izzard. I use Eddie in the title of the article, as that is the name used in promotion of the film, but I would like to point out that Izzard came out and said that her favorite name of hers is Suzy, even though Eddie is acceptable. Scott Chambers co-stars in the film together Lindsay Duncan, Jonathan Hyde AND Simone Callow.
Joe Stephenson he directed the film from a screenplay written by Dan Kelly-Mulhern. The remake’s synopsis reads: “Doctor Jekyll focuses on a lonely Nina Jekyll who finds friendship with her new sidekick, Rob, played by rising star Scott Chambers, who must work together to stop Hyde from destroying her life. she.”
Stephenson recently told Fangoria about the story: “There have been more than 100 film adaptations of Stevenson’s tale, but there has never been a trans Dr. Jekyll. There seems to be some speculation that because Nina is a trans character that we’ll somehow get it right about gender. This is not the case; the themes of our film are faithful to the original work.”
