NECA celebrates Halloween with awesome Ben Cooper Halloween costume action figures!

I’m sure many of you remember those classic Ben Cooper Halloween costumes! There’s such a strong nostalgia there, growing up in the ’80s when Halloween was a really magical time. The costumes came with plastic masks and vinyl aprons…these costumes are an American symbol of Halloween and NECA has a line of action figures based on those costumes!

These were revealed at Toy Fair over the weekend and they are so cool! Thanks to ToyArk, we have some show floor photos to share with you that highlight the figure.

There are five figures that bring Ben Cooper’s classic Halloween costumes to life and include the Mummy, a Skeleton, the Creature, Frankenstein’s Monster and a Devil. They come complete with the classic trick-or-treat buckets as accessories.

The “Ben Cooper Kids” dressed figures will be released in 2024.

Ben Cooper, Inc. was founded in 1937 and also produced costumes based on popular characters from films, television and comics. Based in Brooklyn, New York, the company made an early name by securing character licenses for successful properties.

Post-war and throughout the mid-to-late 20th century, Ben Cooper became a household name, especially after obtaining licenses for super-popular franchises like Star Wars, Spider-Man, and Superman. Their affordable costumes, often made of thin, brightly colored fabric and paired with plastic masks, have become emblems of Halloween for generations of children.

However, in the late 1980s and early 1990s, increased competition and changes in consumer preferences led to the company’s decline. Despite its bankruptcy in 1992, the Ben Cooper brand remains an iconic piece of nostalgia for many who grew up during its heyday.
