A new synopsis has been released by Marvel for the upcoming film Echo series, which was pushed back from November to January. Marvel has submitted the show’s official report to the U.S. Copyright Office (via CB), and it reveals that Echo has officially taken over Wilson Fisk/Kingpin’s (Vincenzo D’Onofrio) criminal empire.
The synopsis reads:
“Marvel Studios presents Echo in which Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) struggles to reconnect with her Native American roots while balancing aspirations of a life of crime as the successor to the brutal legacy of Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) aka Kingpin. In the first episode we are introduced to Maya Lopez and her difficulties.”
The synopsis also teases just how important Kingpin’s role is in the series, with D’Onofrio receiving second place behind the series’ protagonist, Alaqua Cox. Other actors in the synopsis include Chaske Spencer like Henry, Tantoo Cardinal in the role of Chula, Graham Greene as Skully, Cody Lightning like Biscotti Cugini, Charlie Cox as Daredevil, Devery Jacobs like Bonnie, and Zahn McClarnon as William Lopez.
Echo is coming to Disney+ in January 2024. Are you looking forward to this series?
