A new report has surfaced with information about Marvel Studios’ upcoming Marvel epic, Avengers: Secret Wars. Most of us already thought so Tom HollandHolland’s version of Spider-Man will appear in the film, but according to insider CanWeGetSomeToast, Dutch Spider-Man will star in the film. He will be the focus of the story, which is surprising.
Not only that, but the report also says this Tobey MaguireSpider-Man will also appear in the film. It is not known how important a role he will play, but it has been underlined that he will not be a protagonist. There was also a previous rumor that Andrea Garfield was approached.
We’re still years away from making and releasing Avengers: Secret Wars, and if these rumors are true, there are a lot of story changes that could happen between now and the time Marvel actually gets around to making the film. This recent report has definitely piqued my interest, though, and it will be interesting to see how the MCU version of this story plays out.
One thing we know for sure is that the epic MCU event film will feature tons of Marvel characters!
Secret Wars was Marvel Comics’ first major crossover event series and made its debut in 1984. The Secret Wars story centered on Marvel’s greatest heroes and villains transported to Battleworld thanks to a powerful being known as the Arcane. It is on Battleworld that heroes and villains can decide once and for all whether good or evil is the greater force.
Screenwriter hired by Marvel Michele Waldron to write the script for the studio’s big, epic Phase 6 finale. Previously he worked on Marvel projects Loki AND Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
