We have another clip to share with you The Exorcist: Believerand has a wonderfully creepy and disturbing tone as we learn what the two girls were doing that led to them being possessed.

This film tells the story of demonic possession of two young girls who become possessed at the same time. This horrific journey begins when the two girls go out into the woods in an attempt to speak to the dead. You see, one of the girls’ mom died and she wanted to talk to her.

Here is the synopsis of the film:

Since the death of his pregnant wife in a Haitian earthquake 12 years ago, Victor Fielding (Leslie Odom Jr.; One Night in Miami, Hamilton) raised their daughter, Angela (Lidya JewettGood Girls) alone.

But when Angela and her friend Katherine (Olivia Marcum), disappear into the woods, only to return three days later with no memory of what happened, unleashes a chain of events that will force Victor to face the lowest point of evil and, in his terror and desperation, to search for the only person alive who has witnessed something similar before: Chris MacNeil.

This film is the first of a trilogy coming from Blumhouse and Halloween director David Gordon Green. The franchise also sees the return of Ellen Burstyn as Chris MacNeil, “an actress who was forever changed by what happened to her daughter Regan five decades earlier.”

The film is also the protagonist Ann Dowd (The Handmaid’s Tale, Hereditary) as Victor and Angela’s neighbor, and Jennifer Nettles (Harriet, The Precious Stones of the Righteous) AND Norbert Leo Butz (Fosse/Verdon, Stirpe) as the parents of Katherine, Angela’s friend.

David Gordon Green wrote the screenplay with Peter Sattler (Field x-ray). The story comes from Scott Teems (Halloween kills), Danny McBride (Halloween Trilogy) and Green, based on characters created by William Peter Blatty.
