Jamie Lee Curtis apparently he’s a big fan of Eiichiro Oda’S A piece and wants to participate in the live-action series! After the confirmation of the second season, Curtis is ready to campaign for a role in the series and wants to take on the role of Tony Tony Chopper’s mentor, Doctor Kureha.
Many fans wanted to see Curtis in this role, and if she had anything to say about it, we might actually see her in the role. The actress confirmed on social media that she will pressure the streaming service to join the cast of One Piece as soon as the actors’ strike ends.
Curtis shared some Dr. Kureha fan art of herself and said, “Once the strike against AMTPT greed is SOLVED with a FAIR CONTRACT, I will push along with the growing fan frenzy to become Dr. Kureha.”
Commenting on Curtis’ recent Instagram post, one of One Piece’s showrunners, Matt Owens, responded to the campaign, confirming that he couldn’t wait to talk to the actress: “Mommy dearest, that’s why we sent you that figure! There’s no need to push. Once we get what we deserve and get back to work, let’s talk!”
So, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. The creative team behind the show has done a great job with the casting so far. I honestly don’t care who they cast as Dr. Kureha, as long as it’s the actress they think will be best in the role.
