The film follows “a group of young activists decided to make an environmental statement by vandalizing a home hypermarket as it closes. But their plan goes horribly awry when they become trapped inside and must face a deranged security guard with a gruesome passion for primitive hunting. As the night fills with violence and terror, teenagers find themselves in a desperate fight for their lives.”
The clip shows the activists trapped in the hypermarket and the killer prepares for the hunt. RKSS said in a statement: “As soon as we read the script, the central concept and the current subject were so convincing to us, that we immediately could visualize the film and knew that we had to direct it and bring our signature to the film.” project. A slasher in a furniture store and a closed warehouse certainly makes for an exciting playground!
RKSS is short for Roadkill Superstars and the filmmaking team consists of Anouk Whissell, Yoann-Karl WhissellAND François Simard. They’ve made some fun movies and one that has yet to come out is a film adaptation of the comic, We are Zombies.
Wake up it is written by Alberto Marinobased on an original idea by Martin Sudan, and presented by Borsalino Productions and Stdiocanal. The cast includes Benny O. Arthur, Jacqueline Moré, Charlotte Stoiber, Kyle Scudder, Alessia Yoko FontanaAND Tom Gould with Turlough Convery (Black Mirror, Killing Eve) AND Aidan O’Hare (My sailor, my love).
