It has been reported that a reboot of The office is in development and the project is led by the creator of the American adaptation of the series, Greg Daniels.
The news comes from Puck, who says Daniels is “ready to do a reboot The office.” Apparently this project is one of many that will constitute a “manifold of project and casting announcements” once the strikes are officially over.
There are no other details to share and it is unknown if any members of the original cast will return and be involved in the comedy series. The news comes more than a decade after the end of the original series.
The office has such a huge fan base and the series is so damn funny. It seems like it would be difficult to capture that comedic magic again. It was like lightning in a bottle, and I’m not sure they’ll be able to pull it off again for the reboot. We’ll just have to wait and see.
