More concept art created for has emerged Spider-Man: No Way Homeand presents Jacob Batalon as Ned channels his inner Hobgoblin. The art was created by Marvel Studios artist Phil Saunders and shared the following insight about art:
“Another unused #spidermannowayhome idea that I’m excited about was featured in the “Art of” book. This was one of the first ideas proposed where Ned gets to ride the Goblin Glider during the final battle, quite a bit of fan service given Ned’s definitive turn in the comic book universe. As serendipity would have it, the Queens Mets wear orange and blue, the #hobgoblin colors, so I had Ned wear the hoodie as another little nod. But just to show you how far we go in researching and building the character of #marvel #visdev, Ned wears the number 50, a tribute to Benny Agbayani, the Mets’ Hawaiian-Filipino left fielder who would undoubtedly be one of the heroes of Ned, given their shared heritage.
“I painted the image in #Photoshop and modeled and rendered the glider in #Modo based on my colleague @joshnizzi.art’s masterful update on the original. The classic Pumpkin Bomb in his hand was designed by my good friend.
Check out the art below and let us know if you can’t wait to see Ned go bad in the next Spider-Man movie! We all know this will happen!
