Peacock has released a trailer for its upcoming children’s thriller series, Scary Krewewhich is issuing a Scooby-Doo meet Stranger things vibration. The concept comes from Eli Roth and writer James Frey, and the series is described as one of the scariest animated series created by DreamWorks to date. The series features the voices of Sydney Mikayla, Tim Johnson Jr., Grace Lu, Chester running, Terrence Little Gardenhigh, Jacques ColimonAND Vanessa Hudgens.
The series is created by Roth and Frey, who serve as co-executive producers, with Frey co-writing the screenplay Scott Damiano.
The show’s synopsis reads:
An ancient prophecy and a Voodoo Queen task misfit teenagers with the task of saving New Orleans from the greatest demonic threat it has faced in two centuries! The team is catapulted into discovering the city’s biggest secret: that vampires, villains, ghosts, monsters and demons are actually very real. But honestly? “Saving the world” might be easier than becoming friends.
