Lucasfilm has released a new half-season and three character posters Star Wars: Ahsoka. The last episode released, “Shadow Warrior,” was amazing! It was easily the best episode so far as we see Ahsoka face off against Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader. It is at this point that he must complete his education and overcome the problems he is going through.
This marks the first time the characters have appeared together on screen in live action after forming a close relationship in the animated series. The Clone Wars. The series also features young Askoka and Captain Rex. We have posters of these three characters below for you to check out.
I really enjoyed this last episode and I understand why some people think things are moving a little slower than expected. Speaking about episode 4, director Peter Ramsey shared some insights into showrunner Dave Filoni’s approach to storytelling, telling IGN:
“From the beginning, he made it clear that he wanted something more, he was really interested in focusing on the characters. He wanted the pace to be a little different. People say ‘it’s slower, it’s slower.’ Well, part of that is the desire for a little more mood, a little different nuance than Mando, which is a little bit like a spaghetti western, a little bit like ‘wham, bam, thank you ma’am.’ Dave wanted a slightly different feel.”
The series is set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.
Rosario Dawson plays Ahsoka and she is joined Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead like Hera Syndulla, the deceased Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant like Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.
Ahsoka was written by Dave Filoniwho is also executive producer Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin WilsonAND Carrie Beck. Directors include Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel, AND Rick Famuyiwa.
