As you know, the director of The exorcist, William Friedkin, deceased. This guy has made some great movies throughout his career and has set the standard for true horror. While Friedkin might be better known for The exorcisthas made other great films, and in honor of Friedkin, Turner Classic Movies has announced a two-night film event showcasing some of his best work.
The network noted, “William Friedkin was a great friend of Turner Classic Movies and has attended the TCM Classic Film Festival several times, most recently in April 2023.”
“TCM Remembers William Friedkin Part 1” will take place on September 14, 2023 and “TCM Remembers William Friedkin Part 2” will take place on November 26, 2023. The complete programming block reads as follows:

8:00 pm – The French connection (1971) – Two New York narcotics cops set out to foil a French drug smuggling ring.
10.00pm – Live and die in Los Angeles (1985) – A Secret Service agent becomes obsessed with tracking down a notorious and dangerous Los Angeles forger.
00:15 – The boys of the band (1970) – A gay birthday party turns into a night of soul searching when the host’s straight college roommate shows up by mistake.
TCM Remembers William Friedkin Part 2:
8:00 pm – Friedkin uncut (2018) – TCM Premiere – In this documentary, William Friedkin is interviewed about his career, along with many of his colleagues and admirers in the industry.
10.00pm – The exorcist (1973) – A priest fights to save a young girl possessed by demons.
