Zechariah Levi he recently attended the Chicago Fan Expo over the weekend and during a panel, the actor talked about the current state of Hollywood and the crappy movies they’re making. He doesn’t hold back from sharing his thoughts on him and has urged fans not to spend their money on the ‘junk movies’ they release. He didn’t mention any particular movie, but said:
“I personally think the amount of content that comes out of Hollywood is garbage – they don’t care enough to make it really great for you guys. They don’t.
“How many times do you watch a trailer and go, ‘Oh my God, that looks so good!’ Then you go to the movie and it’s like, ‘This is what I get?’ They know that once you’ve already bought your ticket and sat down, they have your money, and the only way for us to change it is not to go to the trash. choose the trash. It will help you. It will help you a lot.”
This is one thing I can 100% agree with him on! I’ve been saying this for years! If you want Hollywood to stop making trash movies, stop handing over your hard earned money to watch them. Over the past year Disney, Marvel, and DC have all seen disappointing numbers at the box office, including Levi’s Shazam! Fury of the Godsso people definitely won’t see movies they aren’t interested in. It’s expensive to go to the movies right now, so I don’t blame people for being picky about the movies they watch in theaters.
With the way the economy is doing right now, I think people are being more careful about how they spend their money, and movies are one of those things that people are cutting back on. While Barbie AND Oppenheimer it keeps killing it at the box office, other movies that have been released are not doing so well.
What do you think about this? Have you given up going to the cinema in recent years?
