Today we have a new promotional spot to share with you for Lucasfilm and Dave Filoni’S Star Wars: Ahsoka series. What makes this new video so exciting is that it’s the first in the series that teases Hayden Christensenit’s Anakin Skywalker! Includes a voiceover of Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker, offering guidance to his former Padawan.
He says, “As your teacher, it is my responsibility to prepare you. I will always be there to protect you… Don’t be afraid. Trust your instincts. I know you can do it, Ahsoka.
The promo also includes discussions of Anakin, who later became Darth Vader. Like Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson) faces Baylan Skoll (Ray Stevenson), recalls Anakin’s notoriety in the Jedi Order. There are also a couple of short shots of Anakin and Darth Vader, but they’re from old Star Wars movies. We don’t know how big a role Christensen will play in this series, but he’s reportedly returning for it.
The series is set after the fall of the Empire and follows “former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.” The show picks up where Star Wars Rebels and the search for Ezra Bridger left off (Eman Esfandi) and Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) start.
Sabine joins Ahsoka on her journey and they will be joined by Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), and most likely the droid, Chopper and Zeb will also return.
Ahsoka will debut on Disney+ on August 23, 2023.
