A great trailer for the sci-fi movie has been released, The generation of podsstarring Emmy nominated Emilia Clarke (game of Thrones, Solo, Secret invasion) and nominated for an Oscar Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 years a slave, Doctor Strange), as well as Rosalia Craig, Vinette RobinsonAND Jean-Marc Barr. The film was written and directed by Sophia Barthes (Cold souls, Madame Bovary).
The synopsis reads:
Sophie Barthes’ third feature film is set in a world of the very near future, where artificial intelligence is all the rage and technology has prevailed over nature in almost every aspect of life. The Pod Generation follows Rachel (Clarke) and Alvy (Ejiofor), a New York couple ready to start a family. As an executive at a rising tech company, Rachel lands a coveted spot at the Womb Center, which offers couples the opportunity to share pregnancy on a more equal footing via mobile, artificial, or capsule wombs. Alvy, a botanist and devoted natural purist, has doubts, but his love for Rachel prompts him to take a leap of faith. And so, the wild ride on their technological path to parenthood begins.
It looks charming, realistic and recognizable. Clarke and Ejiofor try to bring these characters to life in fantastic performances. I can’t wait to see this movie. Check out the trailer below and see The generation of pods in theaters August 11.
