Genevieve O’Reilly he made it big Star Wars debut at Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith in a flashback scene with Mon Mothma. She continued to appear in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and now he has his biggest role yet in Star Wars: Andor.

O’Reilly revealed that she will now appear as well Star Wars: Ahsokawhich takes place years after Mon Mothma’s first live-action appearance in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Now she only has a small role in the series, but it’s still interesting and nice to know that she will be part of it.

During a recent interview with DiscussingFilm, O’Reilly opened up about her experience working on Ahsoka, saying:

“It was fascinating that they asked me and it was such a surprise. I was really excited that Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni would be interested in me coming for a minute to play with them. They are such brilliant directors. It was just exciting to be able to go to them and play a bit with them, I’m a big fan of Rosario [Dawson], is a brilliant and formidable woman and actress. I think what they’re doing with that piece is going to be really exciting.

He went on to say that he got to work mostly with Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who plays Hera Syndulla in the series. He added: “Mary Elizabeth Winstead is a wonderful actress and working with her was also fantastic.” She went on to talk about the opportunity to play Mon Mothma again, saying:

“It was amazing for Mon to have the opportunity to step into a different world again, and maybe that’s because I’m so invested in Andor. But when Jon and Dave called and spoke so passionately about Mon, and made it clear that they really wanted her to be in Ahsoka, I felt honored that they were inviting me to join them. They are brilliant storytellers and cutting edge filmmakers. What they are doing over there with the way they use The Volume, they film in a very different way than how we shot [Andor]. It was really exciting and educational for me to go over and learn how they do it because using that kind of cutting edge technology to inform the piece, it’s a very different way to film. I was grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of it.”
