Sony Pictures has released the director’s first trailer Ridley Scottthe impending historical epic Napoleon, and the film looks absolutely spectacular! Scott has made another jaw-dropping film and Joaquin Fenice will deliver an incredible performance as Napoleon.
The trailer offers a lot of great and exciting footage from the film, but it only teases one of the epic battle scenes that we will see in the film. I’ve seen the snowy battle scene in its entirety and it’s one of the greatest battle sequences ever filmed.
Napoleon is described as “a spectacular action epic detailing the checkered rise and fall of the iconic French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte.” (Vanessa Kirby), showcasing his visionary military and political tactics against some of the most dynamic hands-on battle sequences ever filmed.
The film “captures Napoleon’s famous battles, relentless ambition and incredible strategic mind as an extraordinary military leader and war visionary.”
Speaking about the film, Scott said: “Napoleon is a man I’ve always been fascinated by. He came out of nowhere to rule everything, but in the meantime he was waging a romantic war with his adulterous wife Josephine. He conquered the world to try to conquer her love, and when he couldn’t, he won it over to destroy her and destroyed himself in the process.
The film was written by David Scarpaand Apple Original Films and Sony Pictures Entertainment will be released Napoleon Wednesday 22 November 2023.
