DC has released a new clip of the upcoming anime-style series My Adventures with Superman, coming to Adult Swim soon! This show looks really good and I was looking forward to watching it.
The series is described as “a serialized coming-of-age story that catches up with 20-something Clark Kent, bright and driven Lois Lane, and their best friend Jimmy Olsen as they begin to discover who they are and all they can accomplish together as a Daily Planet’s investigative reporting team.”
The clip shows us a defining moment from Clark Kent’s past as a kid when Ma and Pa Kent first showed Clark his alien origins. There is something buried underground that they hope will offer Clark some answers about this past, and it is here that he comes face to face with a hologram of his father Jor-El.
The story follows Clark “as he builds his secret identity as Superman and explores his mysterious origins. Lois, on her way to becoming a top reporter, partners with photographer Jimmy Olsen to tell the stories that matter. Meanwhile, Clark and Lois fall in love… while Lois gets ever closer to discovering her secret identity! Our trio share adventures, defeat villains, stumble upon secrets, and discover what it means to be heroes in their own right.
The boys star Jack Quaid Superman voices, with Alice Lee like Lois E Ishmael Sahid like Jimmy. The series will premiere this summer. My Adventures with Superman will be released on July 6th.
