Antonio Macchie AND Harrison Ford they will share a good amount of screen time together Captain America: Brave New World. Mackie plays Sam Wilson, aka Captain America, and Ford will play General Ross, who is the President of the United States. When previously teased the relationship between the two characters, the producer Nate Moore She said:
“Harrison Ford will be playing General Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross, and he’ll be seeing Sam Wilson and Thunderbolt Ross, who if you recall even threw him in jail at the end of Civil War for violating the Sokovia Accords. There will be there will be some sparks natural there, which I think will be really fun.”
According to Mackie, filming her scenes with Ford was pretty nerve-wracking. He was so nervous that he couldn’t remember his lines! Speaking with Ford about acting, Mackie told Inverse:
“The first day was so intimidating. I was so fucking nervous I couldn’t remember my lines. He’s Harrison fucking Ford. There’s this aura around him. boy. He’s everything a movie star should be He’d say, ‘Let’s turn to this piece of shit.’ And everybody was like, ‘Yeah, let’s shoot this shit.”
The actor continued on about Wilson’s relationship with Ross:
“We spent quite a bit of time together. Ross and Cap always had that relationship, where they were friends and they respected each other, but they always butted heads. That’s their storyline relationship.”
Kevin Feige he also spoke about the dynamic between Wilson and Ford: “There is a dynamic between President Ross and Sam Wilson. They have a history together, but in this movie we see the dynamic between Captain America and the President of the United States in a way that’s just incredible.”
Julius Ona (The Cloverfield Paradox) will direct from a script written by Dalan Musson AND Malcolm Spellmanfor which they both wrote The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Spellman will produce with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.
New world will be released in theaters on May 3, 2024.
