Roadside Attractions has released a trailer for its upcoming film project Dreaming wild, a biopic based on the true story of the Emerson Brothers, which is a fascinating story. What if a childhood dream suddenly came true… but thirty years later? That’s what happened to singer-songwriter Donnie Emerson. His dream of success came true suddenly and unexpectedly, but it happened when he was 50 years old. This looks like a great movie!
The film tells the true story of love and redemption, and the story is about what happened to singer-songwriter Donnie Emerson and his family “when the album he and his brother recorded as teenagers was rediscovered after thirty years of obscurity and was suddenly hailed by music critics as a lost masterpiece.
While the album’s rediscovery brings hope for a second chance, it “also brings long-buried emotions as Donnie, his wife Nancy, brother Joe and father Don Sr. come to terms with the past and their newfound fame.”
The film features original music by Donnie Emerson and the movie stars Casey Affleck, Zooey Deschanel, Walton Goggins, Chris Messina, Jack Dylan GrazerAND Beautiful Bridges.
Dreaming wild is written and directed by Bill Pohlad (Love & Mercy) and Roadside will release the film in select theaters on August 4, 2023.
