Here is a trailer for an intense looking underwater survival thriller titled The dive. Things go horribly wrong in the film when two sisters go on a diving excursion and one of them gets trapped by a rock after an underwater landslide. Of course, it doesn’t help that she’s low on oxygen.
The synopsis reads: “A scuba diving trip to one of the most remote places in the world becomes a fight for survival for the Drew sisters (Sophia Lowe) and maybe (Luisa Krause) when a catastrophic landslide causes rocks to fall into the sea. After being hit by the landslide, May now lies 28 meters below the surface, trapped by debris and unable to move. With dangerously low oxygen levels, it’s up to Drew to fight for his sister’s life. He must risk his own life and risk paying the ultimate sacrifice. But with no help in sight, time is rapidly running out…”
This is one of those nightmarish situations that I never want to be in. I explore a lot and when I do I do a lot of stupid things, so when I look at something like this I start to rethink my decisions because that would suck.
The thriller was directed by Maximilian Erlenwein and stars Sophie Lowe as Drew and Louisa Krause as May. RLJE Films will be released The dive in select theaters and on VOD starting August 25, 2023. So, take a deep breath and watch the trailer.
