We have a fun new Pitch Meeting video from Ryan George for you to watch today and in this, let’s look at how Transformers: Rise of the Beasts must have been pitched to Paramount Pictures executives. The movie had some funny moments but was ultimately disappointing for me. The movie could have been so much better than it was.
The video came with the following note:
Ever since the first Transformers movie became a worldwide phenomenon over fifteen years ago, Paramount has been churning out franchise films every few years. The latest entry in the film series of giant robots punching each other is here, with Anthony Ramos as the last unfortunate human person to discover a Transformer.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts definitely raises some questions. Like, why do we barely see the beasts when the film’s title promises they’ll rise? Is continuity important or are we just done? What kind of Macguffin are everyone after this period?
To answer all of these questions, check out the pitch meeting leading up to Rise of the Beasts!
Enjoy the show!
