It is reported that the two long-awaited series – Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again and DC The Penguin they halted production and will not resume until the Hollywood writers’ strike is over.
Born again is a semi-continuation of the Netflix show Recklessaired from 2015 to 2018 on Netflix. Charlie Coxwhich originated the role in the former Reckless series, will resume it for Born again. The superhero has since been absorbed into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and has made appearances in film Spider-Man: There’s no way back home and the series She-Hulk: Advocate. Vincent D’Onofrio will also reprise his role as Big Bad Kingpin, while Jon Bernthal is back as The Punisher.
The Penguin is a spin-off of Matt Reeves’Movie of 2022 The Batmanin which Colin Farrell he played the iconic villain. He will return to the prosthetic-heavy role for the criminal underworld series. The show is also starring Cristin Milioti, Clancy Brown AND Michael Zegen.
Farrell recently joined a WGA picket outside Paramount in Times Square and spoke about why he supports the strike.
“Writers are everything to us,” she said. Farrell also said he knew there would be a resolution because “the ongoing stare is so fucking boring” and the action is “a testament to the arrogance of those at the top that these folks are now out of work and can ‘t because they are doing the right thing.
Daredevil: Born Again is set for Disney+, while The Penguin is a Max show. Both are scheduled to debut in 2024.
