Hulu and FX have released the full trailer for The bear Season 2. This first season of this show was damn awesome! This is one of those stories that instantly hooked me and I binge the show within a day when I started watching.
The series is about “food, family, the madness of routine, the beauty of the Sense of Urgency, and the steep, slippery downfalls. As young chef Carmy struggles to transform himself and The Original Beef of Chicagoland, he works alongside a rough-and-tumble cooking crew who ultimately turn out to be his chosen family.
The young chef is played by Jeremy Allen White, and offers a great performance. The chef comes from the world of fine dining and returns home to Chicago “to run the family sandwich shop after a heartbreaking death in the family. A world away from what he’s used to, Carmy must balance the soul-crushing reality of small-business ownership, her strong-willed and recalcitrant kitchen staff, and her strained family relationships, all while grappling with the impact of his brother’s suicide. As Carmy struggles to transform both the store and himself, he works alongside a rough-and-tumble kitchen crew who ultimately reveal themselves as his chosen family.
It’s previously been explained that season 2 is where the show “properly starts.” Co-showrunner and executive producer Christopher Storer previously teased: “It almost feels like Season 1 was kind of ‘Let’s Catch Up,’ and Season 2 is kind of like where the show properly kicks off, once we’ve met everyone and seen their backstory. So it was nice to expand the world and learn more about them.
I can’t wait to see this story continue to unfold and see what happens with these incredibly interesting characters! The bear Season 2 premieres in June 2023.
