Last year it was announced that the classic 1997 British underdog comedy film The Full Monty would get a limited series of TV sequels and today the first trailer for that series was released! The show is being staged on Hulu and 25 years later, the original cast of the movie are back to reprise their roles!
That cast includes Roberto Carlile, Marco Addy, Lesley Sharp, Hugo Speer, Paul Barber, Steve Huison, Wim SnapeAND Tom Wilkinson. Now we get to see what this colorful cast of characters are up to with their lives after all these years! As you can imagine, they don’t strip anymore.
It’ll be fun to catch up with these characters, and it looks like the series will deliver some good laughs as they navigate the modern world in the same city they’ve lived in for most of their lives.
The synopsis reads: “The Full Monty The gang is back after 25 years, trading their stage costumes for dognapping, carrier pigeons and a very unconventional hostage situation. Gaz may be older but he’s not wiser, and best friend Dave refuses to get sucked into his antics. But when tragedy strikes, Monty’s entire gang must band together for a common purpose: to honor an old friend.
