There are a lot of great things that have come out of it Guardians of the Galaxy film franchise, and one of the things that tend to get movie fans excited is the soundtrack. The music I direct James Gunn chooses for his film plays a role in the story he is trying to tell, and helps capture the spirit of adventure and get the emotions of the fans. I’m a big fan of the soundtrack Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3!

That music – together with the composer John MurphyThe soundtrack of – also perfectly captures the emotional and adventurous experience of these Marvel movies. The soundtrack for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is currently available on digital platforms, but will also be released on vinyl and cassette!

The press release reads: “Addition to the in-camera action is [writer/director James] Gunn’s love of music, even putting music into his scripts from the very first draft. Gunn has mastered the art of creating ‘drop-of-the-needle moments’ where a song draws an audience into the moment. Using playback with the selected songs allowed the actors to enter the world, on the other side of the montage, which also helps with their performances.”

Writer-director James Gunn “admits it was a tough task choosing the music Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. “I never trusted it until I did the first screenings and people reacted so well,” says the director. ‘I kept changing the music in the script. I knew we had the Zune, so I knew it was going to be out of that, and I could stick with all the 70s music like the first two movies. I could have gone ahead and just done the 80s or I could have just done the 90s, because there’s a lot of good 90s space brit pop. In the end, I decided that I was going to mix different types of music and hope they didn’t fight each other.'”

For Chris Pratt, “Gunn’s choices just resulted in another great mixtape. “Music was a huge part of Guardians of the Galaxy,” Pratt explains. “The first Awesome Mix was what Peter Quill’s mother gave him and he went into space. This was the music that defined who he was. In the second movie, it was a tape that she left him that he didn’t he never opened it for fear it was the last thing he would ever see of her But he finally opens it and that gives us the soundtrack to the second movie Then the third The movie is all music coming out of the Zune given to Peter Quill from Yondu. That music moves from the ’70s to bands like the Beastie Boys, Radiohead, and Faith No More. Music has continued to help the franchise evolve, and there’s some great music to take you through it.’”

It is explained that “Gunn’s style of writing song titles into the script and then playing the songs to scenes on set resonates with the actors. As Karen Gillan he tells us: ‘Everything has already been decided, and all the songs are written in the script. We even got a playlist before they started taking us around the area. Whenever there’s a song in the movie, they play it on set whenever the musical cue is set to kick in, so it feels like we’re already in the movie. We definitely have an idea. The music really brings everyone together in a scene and just sets the tone. It’s kind of a fun, cool thing, and everyone always gets excited when the music plays. It kind of injects us with a little more energy.’

Sean Gunn adds, “’You can’t overstate how important it can be to understand what a scene feels like when the song is playing, and you know what it’s going to sound like. It’s one of the coolest things about working on a Guardians movie. The songs are integrated into the fabric of the scenes. It is a vital and creative part of the process, just like set design or costume design. The structure of sound is built into everything we do.’“

Composer John Murphy said: “James is the most musically accomplished director I’ve ever worked with and I’m very proud of the score we’ve created. I was already a huge Guardians fan so to be a part of this special film was an honor.” and a joy.'”
