Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 it will close the story arcs of many of our favorite characters and both Dave Bautista (Drax) e Zoe Saldana (Gamora) have confirmed that they are done with the franchise after this Marvel film and are moving forward. But an actor who is willing to stick around in the MCU for a while longer is Chris Pratt.

During an interview with Total Film magazine, Pratt said he would be willing to continue playing Peter Quill aka Star-Lord as long as Marvel honors what James Gunn started. He explained:
“It would be strange to continue [Star Lord’s] story without James. You did such a masterful job in the first three films. We really found Peter Quill’s voice together and without him I obviously never would have had this opportunity. He writes it, he directs it, he dreams up the music, it’s his imagination of him on screen. So to keep telling the story, it would be really important to honor what he did in the first three movies and honor what fans have come to love about the character and not just do it because people might show up to pay you know?
Pratt went on to say:
“I don’t want to be cynical in my approach and if so, I just wouldn’t do it at all. So maybe down the road, if something makes sense, I would, but I’d really have to check a lot of the right boxes.
So if Marvel ever decides to play Star-Lord again, Pratt is on board! As for his co-stars, Saldaña said Vol. 3 is the last time he’ll be in a Marvel film, saying, “I don’t think this is the end for Guardians. It’s the end for me, for Gamora.
Then there was Bautista, who said, “I’m so thankful for Drax. I love. But there is a relief [that it’s over]. It wasn’t all pleasant. It was difficult to play that role. The make up process was getting me down. And I don’t know if I want Drax to be my legacy — it’s a silly performance and I want to do more dramatic stuff.
As for the rest of the Guardians team, you’ll just have to wait for the movie to see if there’s a future for them in the MCU. But it’s good to know that there’s a chance we’ll see Star-Lord again.
