Straczynski shared the news on social media, saying, “BABYLON 5 ANIMATED FILM coming from Warner Bros. Animation and WB Home Entertainment! Classic B5: raucous, heartfelt, nonstop, lots of fun across time and space, and a love letter to the fans. Movie title, release date and other details coming up a week from today.
Straczynski went on to share that the film is “already done and in the can” and that it “feels the most B5-ish of anything we’ve done since the original show.”
Well this is damn exciting! I’m a huge fan of the original series, which ran for five seasons in the ’90s, and is considered one of the best sci-fi series ever made.
The story took place in the 23rd century when humans and aliens coexist on a huge space station called Babylon 5. What made the show so great were its intricate storylines and character development. The show had a large cast, and each character had their own unique story arc that intertwined with the larger narrative. These characters were complex and multidimensional.
The show also tackled complex themes and social issues, and wasn’t afraid to take risks. He also built an incredibly large and rich universe, with detailed histories and cultures.
The cast of the series included Bruce Boxleitner, Claudia Christian, Jerry Doyle, Mira FurlanAND Richard Briggs. If any of the characters come back for the movie, it would be nice if the actors get back to voicing their characters.
