EXCLUSIVE: Mackenzie Davis will join the cast of don’t say anything bad for Blumhouse and Universal.
The film, which hits theaters on August 9, 2024, is a new adaptation of the critically acclaimed Danish horror sensation guests (say no harm)about a family invited to an idyllic country house for a weekend – a dream vacation that turns into a searing psychological nightmare.
Written and directed by James Watkins, don’t say anything bad based on the screenplay of Guests by Christian Tafdrup and Mads Tafdrup. Released in 2022, guests received 11 nominations for the Danish Film Awards, the Danish equivalent of the Oscars.
Davis joins James McAvoy, who previously starred in the hit thrillers produced by Blumhouse Divide And Glass.
Davis was last seen on stage in Simon Stone’s production of Phaedra at the National Theater and in the award-winning HBO Max series station eleven, based on the novel by Emily St. John Mandel, adapted for television by Patrick Somerville. She starred in Tim Millers terminator Reloaded for Paramount, Clea Duvall Happiest Season opposite Kristen Stewart (who broke streaming records for Hulu) and Floria Sigismundi The turn for Amblin.
Mackenzie Davis is repped by UTA, Entertainment 360, B-Side Management and Sloane, Offer, Weber and Dern, LLP.
