STRANGER THINGS and TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES Comic Book Crossover Announced

IDW Publishing and Dark Horse Comics have announced that they are collaborating on a project that will see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cross with Stranger things! The cover of the comic was shared on social media and came with the note:

“Summer comic crossover event is coming. Stay tuned for more details! @DarkHorseComics.”

The comic was written by Cameron Chittockand the art will be created by Fero Pe. Unfortunately, we don’t have any details yet to share about what the story will involve, but it sounds like it would be fun to see the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles embark on some kind of crazy adventure in the Upside Down!

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have had many crossovers over the years, including Batman, Powerful Morphin Power RangersGhostbusters, X-Files, Usagi YojimboAND street fighter.

Stranger things AND Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have already crossed over in action figure form, thanks to Playmates, who released four two-packs featuring new versions of the Turtles paired with characters from Stranger Things, including Raphael and Jim Hopper, Michelangelo and Dustin, Donnatello and Lucas, and Leonardo and Eleven .

The toy crossovers came with a narrative reason for the crossover with the box that reads, “The Turtles have been following TCRI’s latest illegal experiments from New York to Hawkins, Indiana, where he’s trying to harness the power of the upside down The half-shelled heroes must team up with Eleven and her friends to try and stop TCRI’s next experiment before it succeeds.”

It remains to be seen what kind of story the comic will tell.
