The project, which is shaping up to be one of the biggest TV comedy packages to hit the market, “revolves around a pro golfer who becomes the face of a controversial new league competing with the PGA.”
While fictitious, the story would inevitably draw parallels to controversial startup LIV Golf. It also evokes one of Ferrell’s iconic films, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. The series has a similar tone, and Deadline is reporting that it will bring Ferrell back into the sports arena he’s also been exploring Blades of Glory AND Semi-professional.
Sounds like a fun series and a perfect project for Ferrell! Will you watch it when it hits TV?
