Chris Pratt is nearing the release of his latest performance as Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, in James Gunn-directed by the Marvel franchise, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Fans are shocked to see the final chapter of the films close and we can tell that the final film will be tough. Aside from the haunting soundtrack and the director’s and cast members’ promise of tears, we’ve gotten a small glimpse of at least one of the scenes that may cause some sensation in the trailer. In the shot, we see the team walking and Nebula carrying what appears to be Peter’s lifeless body. We have no context as to whether this is real or a dream, whether he’s injured or dead, or what exactly is going on. But including the scene was apparently difficult for Peter Quill actor Chris Pratt.

In a recent interview with Fandango (via CB), Pratt revealed that he used a realistic fictional version of his character to film the scene and it was so accurate it was creepy. Pratt said:
“They made an incredibly realistic life-size doll that she could carry especially for that scene and in the scene, well, let’s just say it doesn’t look like I’m awake. Am I dead? Am I sleeping? Who knows? But she’s carrying this body with essentially no life”.
She went on to talk about how detailed the doll was and revealed that seeing her for the first time was a surreal experience, one she hopes no one else will ever have.
“It was so lifelike that literally like the first time I walked in and saw it laying there because it has this kind of dead vibe. I had a visceral reaction like I was on top of myself. It was the weirdest thing to see a version incredibly realistic but dead of yourself is something that I hope no one here ever sees because I think that would mean you are dead and you are floating above your body and now you are in limbo.”
That must have been super weird! Actors have some pretty unique experiences making movies, and this is one of those occurrences. I can not wait to see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 at the cinema from May 5th. Are you charging for this movie?
