The fan-favorite Star Tours attraction at the Disney theme parks is getting a big update! Lucasfilm announced at Star Wars Celebration that three new Star Wars locations will be added to the ride and bring new stories, characters and adventures to the experience! The plan is to incorporate these new experiences next year in 2024.

Scott Trowbridge of Walt Disney Imagineering shared the announcement, “Since debuting at Disneyland in 1987 as the first Star Wars attraction at a Disney park, Star Tours has traveled to new places as this galaxy of stories has expanded. we look forward to continuing that tradition next year with all new adventures… but I can’t reveal yet where we’re going – or those we might meet along the way – because… well… some surprises do live best as part of upcoming Star Wars content was also announced this weekend. Let’s hope C-3PO’s piloting skills have improved!”
While they don’t share any details, I safely assume that one, if not all of the new places, will be tied to The Mandaloriansince this is the Star Wars project that fans are loving right now! It seems to me that it makes more sense, but we’ll see!
