As he said The independent in a recent interview:

“I always like to keep things down to earth, relatable and smaller. I don’t think I’m made for that world. I’m built for characters that make you feel like that guy could live next door.

As for his Nobody character, Hutch Mansell says, Odenkirk even thinks he’s more of a down-to-earth guy that you wouldn’t compare to a superhero. He explained:

“[Hutch] he is still a family man, but his relationship with violence is different. He’s changed, but he still has a long way to go to find a real balance in the way he lives his life.

The actor feels passion for the character he’s reprising in an upcoming sequel. He added:

“I care more than you can imagine. You would think it’s the personal story of my life, and not an action genre film.

It’s nice that Odenkirk is so wrapped up in his characters. His dedication is obviously part of the reason why he has done so well with his acting career. See it now inside Lucky Hank on Sundays on AMC.
