We haven’t seen each other for a while Giancarlo EspositoThere is Moff Gideon The Mandalorianbut we know we’ll see him again in action at some point in the remaining episodes of season 3. It was also recently revealed that Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) will make its live-action debut as soon as it appeared in the trailer for Star Wars: Ahsoka.

There are some fans who think Thrawn will make his big debut in the Season 3 finale, but that could just be wishful thinking. Regardless, there is a connection between Gideon and Thrawn as they both serve on the Imperial Shadow Council.
During a recent interview with CB, Esposito opened up about the relationship between the two villains and joked that they’re at odds with each other due to Thrawn’s lack of support. The actor said:
“Admiral Thrawn didn’t show up for his duties and agreed to serve on this council, but he’s not here, so [Moff Gideon] she doesn’t think much of him as a leader at the moment. Moff Gideon is fearless and there is danger in every encounter like this, but Moff is not afraid of it. He’s got a few tricks up his sleeve in that too.”
It would be pretty awesome if Thrawn shows up at some point in The Mandalorian season 3. It’s certainly possible, but we’ll just have to wait and see. If the character shows up, I’m guessing it will be one last tease setting up the Ahsoka series.
