Actor Frank Grillo he finally confirmed after much speculation from fans that he has joined James Gunnof the DC Universe. THE Grey AND Captain America: Winter Soldier the actor spoke to ComicBook about his transition into the comic book universe recently, after teasing fans on social media for weeks. It was almost an afterthought aside from Grillo voicing complaints about him not being used in the MCU. He explained:

“They never told a story [about Crossbones]. The mythology of the MCU and just what Marvel has in their pool of characters is so deep. Crossbones was there for a minute, but he should have stayed there longer, then they went in the direction they took. I think Crossbones has a purpose, but I think what’s interesting is if you see how many people around the world have responded to Crossbones, and again, it’s on screen for a fucking amount of time, I think there’s more there. I think there was more meat on the bone. I was disappointed, and that’s why I switched to DC.”
cricket and Ron Perlmann attended the red carpet premiere of Shazam!: Fury of the Gods amid speculation the actors have been cast in DC’s upcoming animated series, Commandos creature. The actor then continued to fuel speculation after the premiere by sharing news clippings of his coverage of the premiere.
