AS Ridley Scott is preparing to direct his next film, Gladiator 2a photo of his next historical epic Napoleon emerged. This is our first look at the film and features Joaquin Fenice like Napoleon Bonaparte riding into battle with some of his troops.

The film is described as “an original and personal look at Napoleon’s origins and his swift and ruthless rise to emperor, seen through the prism of his enthralling and often volatile relationship with his wife and true love, Josephine, played by Vanessa Kirby.”
It is explained that the film “captures Napoleon’s famous battles, relentless ambition and incredible strategic mind as an extraordinary military leader and war visionary.”
Kirby (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The crown) assumes the role of Empress Josephine. Speaking about the film, Scott said: “Napoleon is a man I’ve always been fascinated by. He came out of nowhere to rule everything, but in the meantime he was waging a romantic war with his adulterous wife Josephine. He conquered the world to try to conquer his love, and when he couldn’t, he won it over to destroy her and destroyed himself in the process.
The film was written by David Scarpa, and the original title was Kitbagswhich comes from the saying, “There is a general’s staff hidden in every soldier’s bag.”
Apple Original Films and Sony Pictures Entertainment will be released Napoleon Wednesday 22 November 2023.
