The film follows Narvel Roth (Joel Edgerton), the meticulous horticulturist of Gracewood Gardens. He is as dedicated to tending the grounds of this beautiful and historic estate as he is to humoring his employer, the wealthy widow Mrs. Haverhill (Sigourney Weaver). When Mrs. Haverhill asks him to take on her troubled and rebellious great-niece Maya (Quintessa Swindell) as an apprentice, chaos enters Narvel’s spartan existence, uncovering dark secrets from a buried violent past that soon threatens them all.
This looks pretty intense! Edgerton seems to deliver a solid performance and the story looks intriguing. Check out the trailer and movie poster below and watch Master Gardener in US theaters May 19.
