Paramount Global hires former Activision Blizzard and Snap IR chief Kristin Southey as head of investor relations

Paramount Global has appointed Kristin Southey as EVP, Investor Relations, effective immediately. She succeeds Anthony DiClemente, who will stay with the media company until mid-April to ensure a smooth transition.

Southey will report to Chief Financial Officer Naveen Chopra. She will lead the team responsible for nurturing relationships with the global investment community and become a key member of Paramount’s financial leadership team. IR is a key capability for public companies, now more than ever in terms of working with Wall Street analysts as they model coverage of the media and entertainment industry, the stock market and the broader economy that pose specific challenges.

Southey was previously head of IR and treasurer at Activision Blizzard and head of IR at Snap. She held senior treasury, financial planning and accounting positions at Philip Morris and AIG and helped lead Athene Holding’s IPO.

DiClemente joined CBS in June 2019 as head of IR from Wall Street firm Evercore and led the combined business when the companies merged later that year.
