There is a behind the scenes video around from John Wick: Chapter 4 which features a pretty crazy escalator stunt. It shows a stuntman being knocked off an escalator and it’s pretty crazy to see a real person take that kind of fall! It’s a seriously dangerous stunt! I’m not even sure Tom Cruise would want to do that!

This is just another example of why there has to be a Stunt category at the Oscars! During a previous interview with the director Chad Stahelskispoke of the stunt category as a no-brainer and explained:
“Is there one for every other department but ours? It’s a no-brainer for me. Really, there are wives and rumors and myths about why there isn’t a category, that the Academy was mad at someone about something As far as I know, it’s all bullshit. We want to be recognized because we’re one of the 11 main departments. We’re in every fucking trailer. Most movies are sold for what we do.
There’s even a petition you can sign to help get an Oscar category for Best Stunt in the Academy Awards. I’m sure it will happen one day. Meanwhile, we can enjoy all the great action movies made that feature all kinds of cool stunts for our visual entertainment!
