Maybe it was a snowy trail. But Jeremy Renner seemed overjoyed Thursday night to celebrate the return of the snowplow that nearly took its own life.
Renner shared footage of his PistenBully snow plow on Instagram, which was eventually returned to his home. On New Year’s Day, the vehicle overturned, crushing Renner and breaking more than 30 bones.
“She’s finally going home! 🙏😃,” Renner wrote. In one photo people were working on the machine, in another photo an operator was giving the thumbs up.
“Get the cat[s] a police escort… Feels like The green mile!” Renner wrote in a video of the machine rolling down the street under police escort.
The snowplow, which weighs more than 14,000 pounds, crushed Renner on New Year’s Day as he tried to help a family member trapped in the snow.
Police are investigating whether there was a mechanical fault that caused the machine to roll. The resulting report noted that “mechanical problems may have played a role in this accident.”
Renner updated fans every two weeks on his efforts to recover from the horrific accident and remained upbeat throughout.
