Zack Snyder’s REBEL MOON movie is becoming a “huge” and “immersive” video game.

Zack SnyderThe next film by is Rebel Moonwhich as you know, is based on a Star Wars step he once took at Lucasfilm. He has big plans to build one Rebel Moon franchise with multiple movies and now we’ve also learned that it’s getting a video game!

Snyder himself revealed the news during an interview with The Nerd Queens. Apparently this won’t be a cheap tie-in game either as he describes the RPG as “huge” and “addictive”. He also shared that he’s always wanted to produce an RPG, so I guess he’s doing it!

He hasn’t shared many details about it, which developer is working on it, or even what platforms it will be available on. But he says the scope of the game is “ludicrous”. With the film being installed on Netflix, however, it would make sense that Netflix’s gaming division was developing it.

That’s pretty much all we know about the game! Snyder really shouldn’t be talking about it. But I’m curious to see what this thing turns out to be.

Rebel Moon is set in a “peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical Regent Balisarius. They send a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from nearby planets to help them make a stand against the Tyrant.

Snyder previously spoke about the project saying, “This is me growing up like Akira Kurosawa fan, a Star Wars fan. It’s my love of sci-fi and a giant adventure. My hope is that this too becomes a huge IP and a universe that can be built.”

The film is the protagonist Sophia Botella, Charlie Hunnam, Doona Bae, Djimon Hounsou, Ray Fisher, Jena Malone, Friend RupertStuart Martin Cary Elwes, Corey StollMichiel Huismann, Anthony HopkinsAND Alfonso Herrera.

Rebel Moon will be released on Netflix on December 22, 2023.
