The plans for the first chapter of the new phase of the DC Extended Universe were presented last January. But at no point were there any indications that “The Suicide Squad” would continue at the company. Despite that, James Gunn now admits that he’d love to work with Margot Robbie and her version of Harley Quinn again, which has sparked a lot of speculation.
Through his Twitter account, a follower asked the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ director if He would like to work with the Harley Quinn actress againAND James Gunn responded with glee work with Margot Robbie again. “Obviously” was the director’s response, and his followers quickly began drawing conclusions that a new “The Suicide Squad” movie might be on the way.
However, there is no confirmation that Margot Robbie will return as Harley Quinn, at least for now. Well, after “The Flash”, the EUDC will change as we know it, to start from scratch. In the new DC Universe, there’s no title announced that could reference the return of the Joker’s girlfriend, or even whether ‘The Suicide Squad’ will have a chance in the franchise.
The truth is that the films and series for HBO Max that will be part of Chapter 1 of the new EUDC, called “Gods & Monsters”, have just been announced. And once these are done, Other projects in which Margot Robbie fits could be announced or the rest of the cast of “The Suicide Squad” in James Gunn’s plans.

James Gunn clarifies the DC multiverse
After the “Flash” reboot, the DCEU will continue, while JJ Abrams’ “The Batman 2,” “Joker 2,” and Superman are still in development. But these are not from the same universe, which has caused a lot of confusion among fans. In this regard, James Gunn said that they will make their multiverse very clear, in a recent interview for ComicBook.
“Yes, DC is a multiverse, but we will focus on a universe of that multiverse. And if something isn’t DCU, we’ll make that very clear. Strictly adult like Todd Phillips’ Joker or, you know, kid animation like Teen Titans Go, we’re going to make it very clear that those are DC Elseworlds in the same way we’re making it in the comics.” the DC Studios chief said.
James Gunn and Peter Safran command all the titles that DC Studios will produce in the coming years, and even if so far everything points to stories with strong comic book influences, as the years go by, other productions in which it could enter will be announced. So yes, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn.
