The growth of A24 has led the studio to collaborate with major film production houses around the world. Now he joins forces with Netflix to bring ‘Beef’, a very dark new comedy series starring Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, and which has already released an interesting first trailer with the announcement of its premiere date on the platform.

After sharing the first images a few weeks ago, A24 and Netflix have revealed the first trailer for ‘Beef’, a new series from ‘Silicon Valley’ and ‘Dave’ writer Lee Sung Jin. The show stars Steven Yeun as Danny Cho, a smuggler, and Ali Wong, as Amy Lau, a successful businesswoman who meet each other in the most unexpected ways.

The story of ‘Beef’ is a dark comedy that will have 10 episodes, and will be directed by Jake Schreier, along with Hikari. The official synopsis teases: “Follow the aftermath of a car crash between two strangers. Danny Cho, a failed entrepreneur with a chip on his shoulder, comes face to face with Amy Lau, a self-made businesswoman with a vibrant life. The escalating stakes of their feud unravel their lives and relationships in this darkly comic and deeply moving series.”

When does ‘Beef’ premiere on Netflix?

This production of A24 will premiere on April 6 on Netflixand Jinny Howe, the company’s vice president of original and drama series development, said in a press release on ‘Beef’ (via IndieWire), “We are incredibly excited to partner with Lee Sung Jin and help bring this rich series together with the inimitable Steven Yeun and Ali Wong.”
