Stephanie Hsu and David Byrne Present Dreamy ‘This Is A Life’ at Oscars After Big Wins of ‘Everything Everywhere’



David Byrne AND Stephanie Hsu performed her song “This is a Life” during the 95th Academy Awards on Sunday, March 13. The duo shared a heartwarming rendition of their song nominated for Best Original Song since All everywhere at once. Both stars wore all-white outfits as they dueted on the soundtrack’s biggest song, next Ke Huy Quan he won Best Supporting Actor for his role in the film.

Stephanie looked gorgeous in a flowing, ruffled white dress, which really added to the dreamy nature of the song. David wore an all-white jacket and pants. The pair performed on a platform with Son Lux, who composed the film’s soundtrack, while dancers in similar white suits performed beautiful choreography in front of them. Towards the end of the song, David and Stephanie held hands and lightly paced the stage before the song came to an end.

Experimental post-rock group Son Lux also received a nomination for Best Original Score. Stephanie is also nominated for Best Supporting Actress. Even though Stephanie isn’t the original soundtrack singer, she’s still perfect for the Oscars performance because her background is actually in live theater.
