Full trailer for Disney’s remake of THE LITTLE MERMAID

During the Oscar ceremony, Disney released the full trailer for its upcoming remake of The little Mermaid, and gives us our best look at what this movie has to offer. As you’ll see, this movie will pretty much be a shot-for-shot remake of the classic animated film.

Halle Bailey she stars in the film as Ariel and it looks like she will give a spellbinding performance. She is sure one thing, she has a fantastic voice and she will do a great job interpreting the classic songs we all know and love.

The trailer also offers a first look at many of the film’s other characters, including Ursula, Sebastian, Scuttle and more! The film comes from the director Rob Marshalland this is the synopsis:

The beloved story of Ariel, a beautiful and vivacious young mermaid with a thirst for adventure. The youngest of King Triton’s daughters and the most rebellious, Ariel longs to know more about the world beyond the sea, and while she visits the surface, she falls in love with the handsome Prince Eric. While mermaids are forbidden from interacting with humans, Ariel must follow her heart. She makes a deal with the wicked sea witch, Ursula, that gives her the chance to experience life on land, but in the end she jeopardizes her life and her father’s crown.

The film also stars Jonah Hauer-Kingas Prince Eric, Melissa McCarthy like Ursula, Daveed Diggs (Hamilton, Snowpiercer) as Sebastian’s voice; Jacopo Tremblay (Luca) as the voice of Flounder; Awkwafina (Raya and the last dragon) as Scuttle’s voice; Malik art (Homeland) as Sir Grimsby; Name Dumezweni (Mary Poppins Returns) as Queen Selina; AND Javier Bardem (It’s no country for old men) as King Triton.

The film will also include new original songs composed by Alan Menken and Digg Hamilton co-star Lin Manuel Miranda.

The little Mermaid will hit theaters on May 26, 2023.
