‘Grey’s Anatomy’ recap: Simone makes a decision between her ex and Lucas

Trey’s surprise return really brings Simone out of her depth on the Mar. 9, 2012 episode. Grey’s Anatomy. Simone and Trey fight upstairs while Lucas and Mika prepare for the house party. Mika clarifies her position in the love triangle situation: she is Team Lucas. Jules and Blue get stuck in the hospital overnight, while Lucas, Mika, Simone and others party.

After a few fights, Simone and Trey make up. He feels he’s waited too long to come and fight for her. Simone does not give him an answer on this, but admits that she missed him.

At the party, Trey tells Simon he doesn’t think these are his people. “You don’t belong here. You belong to me above,” he says. This offends Simone in a major way.

Allison has already bitten Prue twice, which makes things a little awkward for Bailey and Ben when they go to dinner with Teddy and Owen. Teddy and Owen spend most of the night arguing about their jobs and Bailey has to step in to mediate.

As he walks back to the car, Ben makes a confession. He admits it bothers him that Bailey goes back to work. “I’m afraid I’m not doing it right,” Ben says of Prue’s growth. This catches Bailey off guard.

Taryn and Schmitt attend the house party and spice up their lives with potential romance. Taryn with Mika and Schmitt with a traveling nurse named Carlos.

Lucas takes the opportunity to defend Simone. Passion grows between them, but Trey interrupts it when he knocks on the door. He is very strange. Simone tries to defend the situation by saying that she spent her whole life with Trey before coming to Seattle. Lucas tells Simone that if he loves Trey, he should go talk to him.

A cancer patient can’t afford treatment, so Blue tells the patient and her husband that they must divorce or lose everything. Maggie thinks Blue went too far with that comment and takes him off the case. The pair listen to Blue and get the most romantic divorce ever.

Blue checks up on the patient after surgery and Maggie criticizes him for it. She discusses with her the need to support the patient’s divorce. He reveals he is in huge debt after trying to pay for his mother’s medical bills. Each note “feels like a rope” around his neck.

All this talk of divorce has overwhelmed Maggie out of her relationship with Winston. “Nothing is right. Everyone suffers,” Maggie tells Richard.

Trey makes a grand gesture at the party. “I have to fight for you. It doesn’t matter what it takes,” he tells Simone. He proposes to her again and she accepts. Lucas watches longingly as Simone and Trey bask in their happiness. Mika tries to cheer Lucas up later by having a dance party with him and Taryn.

After they successfully deliver a baby together, Link passes out. “It’s perfect,” says Jo. She asks Amelia how she could let him go. “It wasn’t perfect for me, but maybe it’s perfect for you,” Amelia tells Jo. As they leave, Amelia sweet FaceTimes with Kai in Minnesota. They’re still going strong!
