During a recent interview with Deadline, Sudeikis confirmed:

“This is the end of this story that we wanted to tell, that we hoped to tell, that we loved to tell. The fact that people will want more and be curious beyond what they don’t know yet – which being season 3 – is flattering Maybe by May 31, once all 12 episodes of the season are finished [have been released], I’m like, ‘Dude, you know what, we get it, we’re good. We don’t need it anymore, we have it.’ But until then, she’ll appreciate the trivia beyond what we’ve come up with so far.”

He then went on to talk about the potential of the spin-offs saying:

“Yes, I think we have set the table for all kinds of people…to see the further telling of these stories. Again, I can’t help but take the question as flattery for what we all that we were working on the show tried to do. It’s really nice of people to even consider it because you never know what’s going to happen when you make things happen. The fact that people want more, even if it’s a different route is lovely .

Ted Lasso it’s just one of those few shows out there that makes me smile and feel happy. It would be great to have more of these stories, but in the meantime, I’m just excited to watch season 3 and see how this wonderful underdog story ends.

In this third season of Ted Lasso“Newly promoted AFC Richmond faces ridicule as media forecasts widely peg them bottom of the Premier League and Nate (Nick Muhammad), now hailed as the “child prodigy”, went to work for Rupert (Head Antonio) to West Ham United. In the wake of Nate’s controversial departure from Richmond, Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) becomes an assistant coach, along with Beard (Brendan Hunt). Meanwhile, while Ted (Jason Sudeikis) faces pressures at work, continues to struggle with her personal issues at home, Rebecca (Hanna Waddingham) focuses on the defeat of Rupert and Keeley (Temple of Juno) navigates as the head of his own PR agency. Things seem to be falling apart both on and off the pitch, but Team Lasso is still ready to give its best.”

The series will debut on March 15! Are there any characters you would like to see a spinoff center around?
